GRAMMYS 2014 - FAVORITE OUTFITS

The 56th Grammy Awards were held on January 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Awards were handed out, performances were given. It was a big night for music artists with some surprises, like the on stage Beatles reunion of Paul McCartney and Ringo Star, Madonna's badass grill and Katy Perry channeling her inner witch.

Also the red carpet was pleasantly surprising. Lots of color and different styles. Here are my favorite looks of the Grammys 2014!

Rihanna
At the pre-Grammy Brunch Rihanna managed to look classy but edgy showing off a deep cleavage that reveals her chest tattoo, it's becoming her signature look.

Rihanna in a lemon yellow Alexander Vauthier dress. This daring, almost to the bellybutton, cleavage kind of reminds me of Jlo's exotic Versace dress at the Grammys 2000.

Alicia Keys
Gorgeous color on her skin tone.

Ciara
Lots of golden gowns at the Grammys.
Ciara is one of the most glammed up pregnant woman I've ever seen.

Taylor Swift
The second golden beauty of the night kept it more simple and classic.

Christine Teigen
Miss John Legend looks sparkly in a gorgeous sexy dress that shows off her model figure.

Beyonce
The Drunk in love performance might have been too hot for some, but I personally loved it! She brought the lyrics to life and the sexy outfit and movements are part of the feeling of that song. Beyonce can do no bad in my book.. I know, I'm not really objective!
On the red carpet Queen B covered up her curves a bit more in a white Michael Costello dress, but didn't look any less sexy.

Kacey Musgraves
The Country singer took home two Grammys. I love that her dress is different and colorful. She really stood out!

Kat Graham
Speaking of different, Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham showed up at the Universal Music Group After Party in a shiny Anthony Franco suit.

Karrueche Tran
Also at the After Party Karrueche Tran. She chose to take on the cleavage competition and went for a revealing black jumpsuit. I also love her new red hair color!

GEEK GLASSES - IN OR OUT

When I was younger, about 14 -15 years old, I used to get jealous of girls in my school with black glasses. I thought they looked smart and cool and always asked if I could fit them, but of course I couldn't wear them longer than a minute or my eyes started to hurt! This was in 2004, ten years ago that I already started to notice the bigger and chunkier frames were on the rise.

Since two years the geek glasses have really made their way into "IN" fashion town, fashionable guys and girls bought the big black frames. Bad eye sight didn't matter, everybody wanted the hip accessory. People weren't even trying to fake they needed glasses, they just wore the frames without glasses in them!

Fact is, the nerd glasses can add a fun touch to every outfit and make you look more stylish and put together. At least, for the last two years... But are they still in?

Me with glasses...

or without?

I got this pair from New Look for €6,99.

Personally I'm still loving the trend. My eyes are perfectly fine, but I love to wear the vanity frames on occasion. I've been going to a lot of job interviews lately and think I look more intelligent with glasses than without. So I secretly put these babies on right before I go in!

My boyfriend thinks it stupid to wear glasses when you don't need them, he's a survival of the fittest kind of guy. And I do understand his point, glasses can make you look more vulnerable or weak.
But this is also about fashion and fashion doesn't need to make sense. It's all about personal taste, it's an expression of your unique character. So I don't even try to explain it to him. Poor guy is always wearing the same white shirt and blue jeans...

So what do you think? Are you over the geek glasses trend or are you still wearing yours?

WORKOUT PLAYLIST - JANUARY 2014

How are you holding up with your New Year's Resolutions? Are you still keeping your promise to get fit in 2014? I've noticed my gym getting more full , it's about twice as crowded now as it was in December!

I've been hitting the gym five times a week, and have also been working with weights at home. My abs and butt need to get toned like never before this year! Music helps me get through every work out, so I listed some of my current favorite songs that can motivate everyone.

Yesss I know... a lot of Beyonce going on in my playlist! I just absolutely love every song of her latest visual album. The sexy songs and videos have definitely inspired me to work on my body.
I mainly listen to R&B and pop music during my workouts, but sometimes some electronic beats like Avicci can make me step it up a notch during cardio sessions.

Do you work out to these songs or do you listen to a completely different type of music?

HOW TO WASH CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS - TUTORIAL

Today I'm showing you how to wash your clip in hair extensions. A lot of people fear to damage their hair extensions while washing them, but if you follow these steps you can't go wrong. I've used this routine for some years and my extensions feel softer and smell better after every wash.

I do this routine about once a month, depending of how much I wore them. On an average it is after 15 times wearing them. You don't need to wash your hair extensions as much as your real hair, since there aren't any oils from your scalp that make the extensions greasy. However you do need to wash them for removing hair spray, heat protectants, smells etc. Let's get started!

Brush out all the knots. Otherwise the extensions will get tangled during washing.

Wet the hair completely from top to bottom with lukewarm water. It's ok when the clips get wet, they're plastic and won't get damaged.

The hair extensions need to be very wet.

Time for shampooing! I chose this shampoo from L'orĂ©al, just because it's the one I'm using currently on my own hair.

I use this amount of shampoo, it's a little bit more than I use on my own hair. They smelled of smoke very bad (I went to a party in the weekend) plus I used hair spray on them, so I wanted to clean them very well.

Carefully wash the hair. Don't rub the hair up and down too much, rather massage softly so you don't damage the hair.
Leave the shampoo in for 10 seconds, so it can really clean the hair.

Rinse out the shampoo with lukewarm water.

Squeeze out the water to get towel dry hair.

Time to nurture the hair extensions! Choose a hair mask and spread it out on the hair. Massage it in and let it sit for the recommended period. I used these Belle Color Hair masks that come with my hair dyes.

Letting the hair absorb the mask. This will add shine and softness to your extensions.
Rinse out with lukewarm water and squeeze out the water again.

Lay your extensions on a towel. Spread them out so they can dry
Important! Don't comb your extensions. I noticed they don't look as good as when you let them dry in their natural wave.

Wait an hour into the drying process to use a serum or protectant on the towel dry hair. This will again add shine and softness to your hair extensions, just as it does with your own hair.

Finally leave them on the towel until they're completely dry. You can now comb through them and style them as you want.

The result after the wash.

I hope you found this tutorial helpful!

KATE MOSS - FASHION ICON TURNING 40

Since Kate Moss was discovered in 1988 by Storm Model Management, she has made her way to top of the fashion industry for various reasons. The petite model had to fight hard to prove herself in a though model world with only 6 foot and up models like Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford. Kate Moss distinguishes herself by playing out a grungy and realistic image. The term heroin chic is born.

Kate really made a name for herself in the nineties when she became the face of big fashion brands like Gucci, Chanel, Bulgari and Dolce & Gabbana. She also graced the cover of the British Vogue 30 times.
Besides becoming famous for her unique look amongst other models, she also becomes iconic for her many love affairs in Hollywood. Miss Moss was linked to Johnny Lee Miller, Johnny Depp, Billy Zane, Pete Doherty, Daniel Craig, Jamie Hince and many more!

Fact is, the international model still looks amazing at 40 years old, it even got her on the cover of Playboy magazine this year.
To honor Moss the Boss, I'm sharing some of my favorite photos of her from the past 40 years.
I'm sure you will recognize a lot of these iconic images.

GOLDEN GLOBES 2014 - TOP 10 LOOKS

Dark sewer water draining the red carpet, a photobombing Jennifer Lawrence, Robin Wright's nipple slip, bare feet on stage,... the Golden Globes 2014 were certainly eventful! There were some shocking moments and hilarious ones. But what I care about most is how everyone dressed for the occassion! I looked through all the pics of the evening and gathered my 10 favorite dresses/looks.

Jessica Chastain
Maybe a bit too classic for my taste, but wearing a classic can never go wrong either. I am also guilty of pulling out the black dress when my creative side isn't working with me.

Amber Heard
Johnny Depp's girlfriend was all smiles for the cameras, because who wouldn't be right? She even added some sexy leg to her cheeky smile!

Amy Adams
Red hot dress for a beautiful redhead, perfect match.

Kate Beckinsale
Kate Beckinsale never seems to miss the ball.

Kerry Washington
She acknowledged her pregnancy for the first time, and showed off her growing belly beautifully in an angelic white dress.

Olivia Wilde
Another pregnant beauty. Olivia isn't ready to ditch her sexy image just because of her bump. She rather accentuates all of her curves in a tight sparkling green dress.

Lupita Nyong'o
Such a beautiful and unique gown. It's almost as if Lupita is wearing her own Superwoman cape, but more fashionable of course.

Sofia Vergara
Sofia was one of the big winners of the night and decided to wear a big gown to celebrate!

Mila Kunis
This Gucci dress... No words can desribe how bad I want it hanging in my closet.

Robin Wright
Apart from the nipple (cover) slip Robin looked gorgeous in a nude dress that showed off her toned figure.
