5 EASY KHLOE KARDASHIAN HAIRSTYLES I'M LOVING

Khloe "The hottest sister now" Kardashian has been looking better than ever the past year. And since filing for divorce from her husband Lamar she has only been looking more fabulous. Probably something every newly single girl can relate to right? After all, you gotta show your ex what he's missing out on...

Along with a killer body and daring wardrobe choices, Khloe is seen rocking various impeccable but simple hairstyles. By putting in the effort from head to toe Khloe has even stolen the title of hotter sister from Kim.
I personally hate to compare siblings, as I don't like to be compared with my own sister, so I'll just stick to a diplomatic: "They're all gorgeous in different ways" ;).

I gathered five hairstyles Khloe has been spotted in the last couple of weeks. Each style can add the finishing touch to your look and are super easy to do yourself!

Sophisticated tight ponytail
I personally love to wear this style with a smokey eye or a bold lip. Since the hair is out of the way all of the focus is on the makeup and face.

JLO half up - half down
This hairstyle always reminds me of Jennifer Lopez. She used to wear it all the time in videos and during appearances. It's the perfect girly and flirty style for any day or night time occasion.

Sexy captain style
A bit more extravagant, but still wearable. Khloe chose a blinged out Captain hat for a sexy look. If you haven't planned any boat trips anytime soon, you can also opt for a blingy headband or hair pin.

Messy lion manes
Khloe looks wild and exotic with these untamed curly manes. This style is perfect for summer days and nights, the style makes you look like you just came from the beach. To achieve this look take small sections of hair and curl them around a small curling iron. Shake your hair out and spray lightly with hairspray.

Extra long sombre
Hair extensions are great to switch up your look and can help you achieve that perfect hair day. The Kardashians have been fans of extensions for years and Khloe opted for super long ones here. Clip in some, slightly lighter than your own hair, extensions, curl the hair in big sections and comb it out with your fingers. Et voila your Khloe Kardashian sombre long hair look is done!

What's your favorite Khloe look?

NICKI MINAJ'S MAKEUNDER

Nicki Minaj is looking slightly different lately... It almost seems as if the rapper turned moviestar went from Bubblicious to Girl Next Door Chic overnight. Nicki ditched the blonde wig and flashy makeup and has been spotted in more subtle looks at red carpet events.

What Nicki has to say about her new look:
"It's not a makeover, it's coming full circle. I went so far to the other side that there's only one place to go from there. You can either continue doing costumes or you can just say: "Hey, guess what? This will shock them even more"

Even when I did my Elle magazine cover and got a new hairstylist and was wearing more natural looking hair and toned down makeup, I was getting myself to this place where I was wearing my real hair out. I knew I was gonna do it, I wasn't going to announce it to the world, but I knew it would happen. And I think we've successfully done it."

How we got to know Nicki...

extravagant makeup and hair.

Nicki Minaj at the Hollywood premiere of "The other woman" where she stars next to Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton.

When asked by a reporter whether this is the moviestar Nicki Minaj, Nicki replied: "No, just the new Nicki Minaj"

A natural makeup selfie.

I love the change! I think it shows a hidden side of Nicki that reveals vulnerability and sincerity. It's almost as if the mask has come off and the real Nicki has been presented.

What do you think of Nicki's transformation? Do you like the new classy, normal, look or do you prefer the extravagant Nicki Minaj?

I RAN 10KM - SPARTACUS RUN UPDATE

I ran 10K guys! Woohoow!
I reached my goal of running 10km (6,2 miles) this past weekend. Although I didn't stick to my strict running schedule I was following some weeks ago, I still made it. I guess all of my years slaving at the gym paid off during running training.

So how exactly did I prepare to accomplish this? The past three months I have added running to my workout routine. I trained at the gym 3 to 4 times a week and in addition also ran 1 to 2 times a week. At the gym I mainly focused on "safe" cardio exercise, like the elliptical and bycicle. These are the safest ways of cardio, besides swimming, since they don't charge your body a lot, so you have less chance of getting injuries.

My weekly runs were about 6km, but it really depended from day to day. Some days I felt I could run 100km like Forrest Gump, other days I felt like my legs were going to fall off after 1km. On the bad days it was really a matter of motivating myself and convincing myself I did it before and could do it again. This is also how I managed to go from running 6km to 10km. On Saturday I decided to run the full 10K on Sunday, no matter how long it would take me. When setting a goal like this for yourself, it's very important to value and appreciate it before you begin. You need to take a moment to realise what the goal means to you and why you want to accomplish it. This way you won't give up easily and put in all of your energy in reaching it.

I ran 10km in 01:08:40, and I'm pretty proud of it. It's at a speed of 8,9km/hour. But the numbers aren't what really matters to me, the most important thing is that I've ran it and feel more secure about running the Spartacus Run next week. Now only the obstacles in the water scare me a bit! I still have seven days left to prepare for the race, and I'm confident I can do it!

Please keep your fingers crossed the first of May for me! :)

HAPPY EASTER!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter before the weekend begins! I hope you have a couple of fun or relaxing days planned with family and friends and you get some time to enjoy this holiday.

I'm looking forward to some quality time with my own friends and family. A birthday party, a family dinner and a trip to an amusement park are on the planning, so lots to look forward to!

Now about my Easter look. For this holiday I like to wear feminine and soft colors. White, pink, orange, blue and yellow are all colors that remind me of easter eggs and bunnies so I try to incorporate them in my look. I also keep my makeup light and rosy.

For the occasion I experimented a little with my nails as you can see in the picture above. I painted all of my nails in pink, except for my ring finger which I painted white, and used a toothpick to create dots on my nails. It's a bit more effort than usual but I really like how it turned out. I'm certainly rocking some Easter proof nails this year!

So have you planned anything to celebrate Easter or are you just relaxing at home? Either way, I hope you enjoy some chocolate Easter eggs, I know I will!

JESSICA SIMPSON'S RECENT WEIGHT LOSS

Look what I found on the red carpet this week... it's a first celeb who's totally ready for bikini season!
Jessica Simpson has been on a weight loss journey the past year and it looks like she's close to reaching her destination. The mommy of two showed off a slimmed down and toned body at The John Varvatos 11th Annual Stuart House Benefit in West Hollywood this weekend. The bright yellow dress and the big smile can only mean one thing, Jessica is feeling good about herself and wants to prove to critics and haters she's back to her old self!

A quick reminder of how Jessica looked pre- weight loss and pregnant of her second child.

Here is how she looked like in October 2013, a couple of months after giving birth. Jessica already lost a lot of weight.

Jessica Simpson is obviously proud of her hard work and results, here she's posing for an Instagram picture in the gym.

And back in February the singer was looking amazing as well. Here she was showing off her defined arms and legs in a Weight Watchers commercial.

It seems as if Jessica is very motivated to become a sexy mommy and is putting in a lot of work! Being a spokesperson for Weight Watchers must also help to stay motivated. In the past I've noticed WW being one of the most successful diet programs amongst people in my direct environment. It is known for being a healthy lifestyle plan that promotes a variated diet with cheat meals once in a while, which makes it easier to stick to than popular crash diets.

I really hope Jessica can reach her goal (if she hasn't yet) and finds inner peace with her weight. She certainly has had to deal with a lot more criticism about her weight and looks than necessary during her career and pregnancies!

NAILS OF THE DAY - BE BERRY NOW!

I'm loving short natural nails lately, they're so easy to maintain and are much more practical in everyday life! But what I do find necessary with short nails is a layer of paint, it adds a feminine touch.

Today I picked out a dark fuchsia shade, "175 - Be berry now!" from the essence colour & go collection. It paints on smooth and easy, and you only need two coats for complete coverage. The polish dries within 3 minutes.
The only negative thing I can say about it is that the brush is quite wide, which can make it a bit harder to get the edges of your nails perfect, but it's just a matter of getting used to.

You can find the essence colour and go polishes at the drugstore or online for €1,69. I would definitely recommend these polishes to girls who love to change up their nails a lot.

PASTEL HAIR - HOW TO GET IT AND MAINTAIN IT

The lilac/pastel hair trend is still going strong and seems to have a hold of many experimental celebs! It's a pretty risky hair change that can't be pulled off by everyone, but some fashionistas in the fashion and blogger industry get away with it very well.
Most recent Miss Nicole Richie has put the lilac locks trend to the test. The mother of two has tried out many hair styles in the past and here's another one she can cross off her "to try out" list.

Nicole said she isn't the only one who loves her pastel hair change, her kids love it too. It reminds them and their friends of the Disney movie "Frozen". How cute!

Blogger and YouTube star Evelina Barry has died her locks lilac, and later pink, as well.

Kelly Osbourne was one of the first ones to try out the lavender hair color years ago and got a lot of backlash for it, especially from her own mother! But is now considered a trendsetter thanks to her bold hair makeover.

Lauren Conrad looked like a completely different person showing off her lilac locks on her blog, too bad it was only an april fools joke! The former reality queen is still rocking her trademark beachy blonde shade.

If you want to try out the lilac hair trend yourself I have some tips for you before you get started!

First of all, consider the risk of it going wrong. Lilac hair is not a natural hair color, so you might not like it at all. It can clash with your skin tone and can be hard to adjust to. Also inform at your school or work if they will make a problem of your changing look. The last thing you want is to waste money and time on your new hair color and having to change it back after one day... If it is a problem, find a better time to try it out for example during a vacation!

Still scared to go completely lilac? Dip dye your tips first! You get used to the bright color against your face and it is already a fun change.

So still ready for the change? Here's how to achieve the look!
First you need to bleach your hair as light as possible. It's very important to get your hair as white as possible, the pastel color will look brighter and prettier on white blonde hair than on golden blonde hair. Since bleaching is a pretty tricky process to do at home, I wouldn't recommend anyone trying it. Especially when you're going for a completely pastel head. If you only want the pastel dip dye, you can probably get away with a box dye at home. But always read the instructions carefully, you don't want to end up with fried purple hair!

Once your hair is the required blonde shade, you can start with the fun part! Pick out your favorite pastel hair dye and a white conditioner.
Some good hair dye brands are: Directions Lilac (Pastel Purple), Directions Lagoon Blue (Pastel Blue), Pinks by Stargazer (Pastel Pink).

Put the white conditioner into a bowl and mix in the pastel dye. Add as much as you like until you achieve the right color. Keep in mind that the color you see in the bowl will also be the color your hair will look like in the end.
Wrap your hair in a shower cap and ley the dye develop for 30 to 45 minutes.
Wash your hair with lukewarm water and condition as usual. Dry your hair and check for uneven spots. If necesarry, you need to repeat the dyeing process again.

How to keep your lilac locks pretty? Lavender, pink and lilac are difficult colors to maintain because they wash out very quick. If you notice your hair color fading just mix a smidge of hair dye in your conditioner and leave it in for 10 minutes. this will give your hair color a boost.
Also nurture your locks very well! You've put them through a lot, bleaching and dyeing is very damaging, so make sure to use conditioner, hair masks and serums!

Good luck!
