METALLIC FLASH TATTOOS

The newest trend in fashion world is one I'm dying over! I have always been a huge fan of body art like tattoos and henna, but have never taken the plunge myself because I keep on changing my mind of what I want. As long as I'm not 100% certain, I'm staying away from the tattoo shop (yes, I'm boring like that)...

This new fashion hype offers the perfect solution for my fear of commitment though!

So what am I talking about? The metallic flash tattoos are basically a mix of body art with jewellery, and are the new and improved henna! The tattoos add shimmer and sparkle to any outfit and will be the most on trend accessory of the moment.The tattoos stay on for 4 to 6 days depending on how well you take care of them. You will need to avoid soap, lotions and water from the tattoos to keep them intact. And the prices range from €15-€25/ $20-$30 depending of brand and size.

Also celebrities seem to dig this trend. Queen B herself was seen rocking the metallic look some weeks ago while vacationing in France. Paired with a bronzed skin and bikini, the tattoos can give you an instant princess feel.

And Beyonce didn't stop in the front, as she put them all over her back as well!

I wish I would've found out about this trend earlier, then I would've blinged it up a bit more! But now that summer is over I will probably opt for a visible hand design or neck tat to start with.

TEEN CHOICE AWARDS 2014 - BEST DRESSED

Sunday evening the Teen Choice Awards took place in LA, and it was the hotspot of the night for young hollywood. Many popular celebrities like Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and the Jenner sisters attended the event. Some in hopes to receive their own award!

I was pretty excited to see all of the red carpet looks, as I like to see girly and trendy outifts celebs pull out of their closets when going to events for younger audiences. It's less about being sexy and more about being pretty, which sometimes feels like a revelation. 

These are my favorite looks of the night!

Kylie Jenner

The first cropped beauty of the night. I prefered Kylie's outfit so much more than big sis's Kendall, who opted for a sleek chique white jumpsuit. Which wasn't that appropriate for the Teen Choice awards in my opinion.

Taylor Swift

Love the shape of the skirt and the green color!

Shay Mitchell

Very girly, but also a bit more seductive than the other cropped outfits. The dark lips and nails make the look a bit too sexy for this event I think. If the white lacy outfit would've been combined with hot pink it would've been spot on. But still one of my favorite looks of the night!

Lea Michele

Wow, has Lea Michele ever looked better? Her body is in great shape and I'm in love with the messy bangs!

Italia Ricci

Love this jumpsuit! The print with the golden accessories match perfectly.

I have to be honest, I had to google this girl to know who she was... But I'm in love with the feather skirt she's wearing! I've been looking for one for months, but can't find an, affordable, one...

Jennifer Lopez

How is it possible that every time I see a picture of Jennifer Lopez she looks younger? Is this a real life case of Benjamin Button? I can't get over how good she looks, green is definitely her color! And I think she must agree as she's been spotted in it a lot this summer.

NEW BAG - FIORELLI BRONTE MEDIUM TOTE BAG

As you might have noticed in my previous blogposts, I'm a pretty big fan of ASOS. I love the simplicity of the site, the brands they offer and the quick and cheap delivery conditions.

SPARKLING BEAUTIES AT THE CFDA AWARDS 2014

The CFDA Fashion Awards might not ring a bell, but with all the celebrity parties in Hollywood, New York and France, who can blame you? 

In short the CFDA Fashion Awards is an annual event where outstanding contributions to American fashion from all areas are recognized. Awards are given for womenwear, menswear and accessories, but also for journalism, creative vision and lifetime achievement. Definitely an important fashion event! Which obviously calls for important celebrities with extraordinary fashion choices.. These were the three sparkling beauties who caught my eye.

Solange Knowles

Solange isn't hiding away after the infamous elevator incident. In contrary, she's even making sure all eyes are on her with this sparkling maxi dress. 

I love her big hair. And the bright pink lips go perfectly with her skintone.

Naomi Campbell

Another fierce lady at the CFDA awards was topmodel Naomi Campbell. Although she's already 44, she still gets away with wearing long rapunzel hair and sexy fitting gowns. 

One lucky lady with some great genes! 

Rihanna

After getting banned from Instagram for posting too much nudity on her account, Rihanna went for a different approach to show the world her, yes we have to admit, amazing body. 

She decided to simply show up in a completely see through dress and let the paparazzi do the rest. 

Not very wearable for most of us, but I do enjoy Rihanna's fashion risks! She's exciting to look at and she isn't scared to overstep boundaries. Also, her smokey eye makeup is perfection!

CANNES 2014 - BEST DRESSED CELEBS

The 67th Cannes Film Festival is almost over, tomorrow is the last day, so it's the perfect moment to look back with "ooh's" and "aah's" at all the beautiful women in gorgeous dresses gracing the red carpet. I always look forward to the high fashion celebs wear to this festival. They look very sophisticated and perfectly styled from head to toe.

PEPPERMAYO PLAYSUITS - FIRST PURCHASE REVIEW

You know the feeling when you're purchasing something for the first time on a webshop? 50% of you feels excited, 50% feels scared? Excited for all the new clothes you've been missing out on for who knows how long, but scared for that "will they rip me off?" first purchase. The main things that can go wrong are extra costs, long delivery time and lastly the sizing is off. 

I was recently looking for some playsuits for summer online and bumped into the Australian webshop Peppermayo. And I have to say, it was love at first sight! So many gorgeous playsuits, dresses, tops and sweaters all in one URL, it was a night filled with clicks and saves I won't easily forget. 

After browsing through all pages at least three times, I had made my decision and picked out three different playsuits to test the brand. As I live in Belgium and the company is Australian, I was a bit nervous about extra import costs. I have been surprised one too many times ordering items from across the pond and ending up paying more at the door than for the original product! But miraculously, not with Peppermayo! I didn't pay one euro more than I had paid online during checkout. 

Next up was unwrapping and fitting.
Do you agree the unwrapping is such a stressful proces...? "Will the fabric look the same as in the pictures? And are the colors as pretty as you imagined?" But again, no complaints! SCORE. Only at closer look I noticed some loose threads here and there...

Now the last step, the fitting. All playsuits fit great, except the flowerprint one is a little short. I'll probably cut out the inner part and will wear a thin short under.

Overall I'm very happy with the clothes and service of Peppermayo. Only the flowerprint playsuit is a bit too short, but I'll make it work! I'll show you in another post how I fix the length.
