OSCARS HAIR TREND - LONG BLONDE BOB

Sunday night the Academy Awards 2015 took place in Los Angeles. Another reason for Hollywood to take out their best suits and most expensive dresses to walk the red carpet and celebrate great film.

As I live in Belgium I'm always asleep while the ceremony is broadcasted on television, but I do enjoy to watch clips and pics from the show and afterparties the day after! I feel like the Oscars are still the biggest event in Hollywood, and everyone goes extra glamorous for the night.

And even though you can't go wrong with classic, it's nice to notice creativity and personal touches. Personally I loved Meryl Streep's tailored black tuxedo jacket and Lupita Nyong'o's beaded dress!

A hairtrend that was very present was the long bob. It was sneaking its way through the fashion and beauty-industry in 2014, and many celebs have picked it up in 2015 as well. Especially blonde "lobs" (long bobs) were popular Sunday night.

These were the three ladies who rocked the trend best!

Naomi Watts

Naomi added a soft wave to het asymetrical bob to achieve a classic glamorous look. The dark lipstick makes the look a bit more edgy, which I really like. It kind of reminds me of Ashlee Simpsons' hair in her music video of LOVE.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely

Rosie went for the big chop pretty recent and has been going shorter since every time we see her. The former Victoria's Secret model looks great with both long and short hair, but the shorter locks really draw the attention to her full lips and eyebrows. Which are both very in at the moment!

Margot Robbie

Yes! Margot Robbie is finally back to her old self! She was seen as a brunette most of 2014, but you have to call a spade a spade and think she looks so much better and more natural as a blonde.

The Australian actress matched her blonde bob with red lips and a statement necklace for a dazzling red carpet look!

So what's your take on the long bob trend? Are you taking the plunge yourself or are you waiting til the storm blows over and everyone is back into long wavy hair?

I'm still in between, but am more towards sitting it out! I just love long girly hair too much!

5 EASY KHLOE KARDASHIAN HAIRSTYLES I'M LOVING

Khloe "The hottest sister now" Kardashian has been looking better than ever the past year. And since filing for divorce from her husband Lamar she has only been looking more fabulous. Probably something every newly single girl can relate to right? After all, you gotta show your ex what he's missing out on... 

Along with a killer body and daring wardrobe choices, Khloe is seen rocking various impeccable but simple hairstyles. By putting in the effort from head to toe Khloe has even stolen the title of hotter sister from Kim. 

I personally hate to compare siblings, as I don't like to be compared with my own sister, so I'll just stick to a diplomatic: "They're all gorgeous in different ways" ;). 

I gathered five hairstyles Khloe has been spotted in the last couple of weeks. Each style can add the finishing touch to your look and are super easy to do yourself! 

Sophisticated tight ponytail 

I personally love to wear this style with a smokey eye or a bold lip. Since the hair is out of the way all of the focus is on the makeup and face.

JLO half up - half down

This hairstyle always reminds me of Jennifer Lopez. She used to wear it all the time in videos and during appearances. It's the perfect girly and flirty style for any day or night time occasion. 

Sexy captain style

A bit more extravagant, but still wearable. Khloe chose a blinged out Captain hat for a sexy look. If you haven't planned any boat trips anytime soon, you can also opt for a blingy headband or hair pin. 

Messy lion manes 

Khloe looks wild and exotic with these untamed curly manes. This style is perfect for summer days and nights, the style makes you look like you just came from the beach. To achieve this look take small sections of hair and curl them around a small curling iron. Shake your hair out and spray lightly with hairspray. 

Extra long sombre 

Hair extensions are great to switch up your look and can help you achieve that perfect hair day. The Kardashians have been fans of extensions for years and Khloe opted for super long ones here. Clip in some, slightly lighter than your own hair, extensions, curl the hair in big sections and comb it out with your fingers. Et voila your Khloe Kardashian sombre long hair look is done!

SOMBRE HAIR - NEW TREND

I guess the time has finally come.. Ombre move over, cause there's a new girl in town and her name is Sombre!

 But no need to panic just yet, you're 15 minutes of fame might be up but you're passing the torch to a worthy successor.

Sombre hair basically means Subtle Ombre Hair, which is a more natural and subtle ombre effect. 

While the ombre trend included very contrasting tones, from black roots to blonde ends, the sombre style makes it blend better. 

In my opinion it's simply the right kind of ombre! This technique looks so much prettier and polished. 

Some, bad, ombres made it look like you hadn't washed your hair in days and your roots had become so dark cause of all the grease... Or the brassy orange, sometimes even patchy, tresses aren't a good look either.

Anyway, let's take a look at some examples of the new Sombre trend!

EASY NEW YEAR'S EVE HAIRSTYLE IDEAS

Hi guys! Tonight is a night a lot of people look forward to all year. Nice food, good company and some dance moves are a recipe for a fabulous night. You probably picked out your outfit months in advance and thought out a whole look already. I know exactly how I want to look on this New Year's Eve. I have my shoes, dress, purse, jewelry and makeup figured out. 

Just one more thing... How do I wear my hair?? I'm still trying to match the ideal hair to my outfit. Straight hair, long waves, half up half down, faux bob, tight ponytail,... Too many options! I'll probably decide last minute.

HAIR TRENDS FOR AUTUMN 2013

Nature's slowly preparing for colder weather and a scenery makeover is unavoidable! Colored leaves on trees, grayer skies and pinecones on the ground. It are only a couple of signs that the seasons are changing once again. The end of Summer can be a bit depressing on your mood, the hot days and summer vacations are on hold for a couple of months and it takes some adjustment for mind and body. If you are a Summer lover like me, a mood booster can be very welcome during the first weeks of Fall. Giving yourself a little Autumn hair makeover is the perfect start to get into Fall season! 

I gathered some of my favorite Fall Hair Trends of 2013 to inspire you for your very own hair makeover!

Slicked Back Hair

Slicking back your hair will give you an instant different overall appearance. It is a sophisticated hairstyle that will bring more edge to your look. You can go for a dry voluminous slicked back style which will add more class and maturity, or you can opt for the wet slicked back look that will make you look more high fashion and grunge like.

Braids can be worn throughout all seasons. They are comfortable to wear, are very girly and pretty but look like you spent all morning in the bathroom braiding your hair. By now everyone has seen regular braids and French braids, for Fall it would be a nice idea to experiment with some new braided styles. Go for a fishtail braid, two messy side braids or put some braids in your loosely waved locks to add some playfulness to you do.

This style is for the daredevils amongst you. Pixie hair cuts have been in for the last two years as many celebs as Rihanna, Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus have proven. For a woman it's a big statement to chop off (almost) all of her hair, but if you're mentally prepared for it or have always wanted to go short but didn't quite had the courage for it, Fall 2013 is definitely the time to take the plunge! 

Ombre Hair 

If you've been wanting to go ombre, Fall is your season! To make your ombre hair look believable Fall is the ideal season to switch your monotone locks to this trendy hair color. The ombre hair style starts with dark roots and fades into lighter ends, giving the impression that your sunkissed locks from Summer are naturally growing out.
If you are already on the ombre wagon, it might be time to switch things up and go for more extreme choices. Maybe add some warm colors to your ombre do or finish your style off with some bangs!

Buns Everywhere

Putting your hair in a bun is for many ladies a matter of comfort. It's an easy way to get your hair out of your face while doing chores in the house or while working out. 

Since 2013 buns have also become popular amongst designers and fashionistas. Buns are besides easy also very versatile in style. You can use a sock, donut, braids, extensions, and so on to change the look and feel of your bun. You can make your bun as messy or neat as you want, which makes it a style you can wear at school or work, but also during fancy dinners and parties. 

I'm definitely going to experiment with the braids and buns and am also considering some sort of ombre color change.
