OSCARS HAIR TREND - LONG BLONDE BOB

Sunday night the Academy Awards 2015 took place in Los Angeles. Another reason for Hollywood to take out their best suits and most expensive dresses to walk the red carpet and celebrate great film.
As I live in Belgium I'm always asleep while the ceremony is broadcasted on television, but I do enjoy to watch clips and pics from the show and afterparties the day after! I feel like the Oscars are still the biggest event in Hollywood, and everyone goes extra glamorous for the night.
And even though you can't go wrong with classic, it's nice to notice creativity and personal touches. Personally I loved Meryl Streep's tailored black tuxedo jacket and Lupita Nyong'o's beaded dress!

A hairtrend that was very present was the long bob. It was sneaking its way through the fashion and beauty-industry in 2014, and many celebs have picked it up in 2015 as well. Especially blonde "lobs" (long bobs) were popular Sunday night.
These were the three ladies who rocked the trend best!

Naomi Watts

Naomi added a soft wave to het asymetrical bob to achieve a classic glamorous look. The dark lipstick makes the look a bit more edgy, which I really like. It kind of reminds me of Ashlee Simpsons' hair in her music video of LOVE.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely

Rosie went for the big chop pretty recent and has been going shorter since every time we see her. The former Victoria's Secret model looks great with both long and short hair, but the shorter locks really draw the attention to her full lips and eyebrows. Which are both very in at the moment!

Margot Robbie

Yes! Margot Robbie is finally back to her old self! She was seen as a brunette most of 2014, but you have to call a spade a spade and think she looks so much better and more natural as a blonde.

The Australian actress matched her blonde bob with red lips and a statement necklace for a dazzling red carpet look!

So what's your take on the long bob trend? Are you taking the plunge yourself or are you waiting til the storm blows over and everyone is back into long wavy hair?

I'm still in between, but am more towards sitting it out! I just love long girly hair too much!

OSCARS 2014 - BEST DRESSED

No Oscar for Best Foreign Film for Belgium, but the nominee was something to be very proud of already! I'm sure a lot of doors will open for the cast and producers of The Broken Circle Breakdown.
Also no Oscar for my big favorite of the night Leonardo Dicaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street, but I'll be rooting for him next time!
Gravity took home seven Oscars, which I'm very happy about! I absolutely loved that movie, the intensity, the feel, the visual effects and the actors!

Now over to my favorite outfits of the evening...

Charlize Theron

Amy Adams

Angelina Jolie

Emma Watson

I also loved her makeup!

Kristen Bell
Very elegant dress for Kristen

Lupita Nyong'o

Kate Hudson

Naomi Watts

Karolina Kurkova
Love the red lips in combination with her skintone

Karolina with fellow model Petra Nemcova

Kim Kardashian
Looks like momager Kris wanted to be in the spotlight as well, but Kim outshines everyone in her breathtaking red Cinderella gown.

Evan Rachel Wood

Irina Shayk
The Sports Illustrated model went for an ultra sexy dress at the Elton John After Party, accompanied by some seductive smizing.

Sofia Vergara

Summer hair inspiration!

My number one look is definitely Lupita Nyong'o, I think she looked amazing at her first Oscars event. The soft blue on her dark skintone plus the shape of the dress were very flattering and the subtle headband finished off the unique look!

Have you picked your favorite look?

OSCARS 2013

(Sorry I've been so quiet the past couple of days. I have been very busy with working for school. I'll try to get more regular updates on my blog again!)

Past Sunday The Oscars were presented. I was really looking forward to it, especially because a Belgian short film "Death of a shadow" was nominated. Matthias Schoenaerts a Belgian (hottie) actor had a role in the film. Unfortunately it didn't win, but in our small Belgium country a nomination on its own is already remarkable.

As you might know already the Oscar for best movie went to... Argo. I think it is an earned one, though I liked the movie Life of Pi even more, I was secretly rooting for Richard Parker & co!

Now to the Oscar for best dressed! I liked a lot of the dresses and thought there was a lot of diversity on the red carpet. The ladies (and stylists of course) stepped it up a notch for the most important night of the year in Hollywood. My favorite looks were...

 10. Jennifer Garner - Gucci dress

9. Zoe Saldana - Alexis Mabille Couture

8. Jennifer "Best Actrice" Lawrence - Calvin Klein dress

She earned the Oscar for Best Actrice, and she even looked like an Oscar at the after party! I also loved her dress she wore during the show, but after her adorable trip I understand why she wanted to change in something more comfortable...

7. Naomi Campbell

6. Miley Cyrus - Azzaro dress

5. Britney Spears - Michael Cinco Couture
Britney looked so good!! She looked classy, young and shiny! A look she should always be striving for. I am a fan of the brown locks too, so much more healthy looking hair than the bleach blonde!

4. Amber Heard - Versace dress

3. Serinda Swan - Michael Costello dress

This was definitely the most sexy dress AND lady of the night...

2. Halle Berry - Versace dress

1. Charlize Theron - Dior dress

Charlize Theron rocked the red carpet with her white hot dress and short blonde haircut. She gets my Oscar for Best Dressed!

Btw, did anyone think Miley Cyrus and Charlize Theron looked very similar? Just some age and tattoo differences!

Do you have a favorite dress?
